A limited power of attorney for finance and property allows you to appoint someone you trust to manage a specific element of your legal, financial or property affairs on your behalf.

Limited powers of attorney are, as the name suggests, limited in scope. They allow your agent to act as your authorized legal representative only in relation to the specific matters you specify in your power of attorney document. The agent’s authority under the limited power of attorney will come to an end when you revoke the agent’s authority, become incapacitated or die. In addition, where the power of attorney is limited in duration, the agent’s authority will come to an end on the expiration of that term.
